The Pursuit of Wealth And Happiness #entrepreneur #atlanta

Pursuing wealth is actually something that is not rocket science necessarily although it is hard to achieve. As long as you know the right ingredients to put together in the pot, you will know how to cook the right gumbo. Wrong ingredients and the gumbo will end up tasting very shitty, bottom-line. Wealth is the same way.

The first ingredient and one of the most critical aspects of creating and building wealth in black communities and inner city communities is learning to simply be about it. Many people talk about what they want to do, what they want to create, how they want to create it, and how they will have it in the future.

Bullshit. Stop talking. In order to build for the future, you need to be about it and stop talking about it. Truly. I run across people everyday or at least weekly that tell me that they have some
idea to create something for themselves or do something real big. But in reality, they don’t do anything to move their dream forward and in fact will start telling other people how to move things forward while they have done absolutely nothing to advance their own dreams/careers or aspirations.

Learn to be about your business instead of talk about your business. Learn to be discrete and stop announcing to the world your business
plans and/or your dreams. Learn to simply do it and be about it and people will respect the shit out of you when you get it done.

The Ballers Guide to MAJOR Figure$

The Baller’s Guide to MAJOR Figure$ is a follow up book to my first release How To Be Rich, Nigga. The first book spoke generally
about what it takes to become financially wealthy and spoke in general terms about putting a plan in action to do so.
This second body of work dives more into the detail about creating the plan and working a plan to pursue and create wealth for you.

Capturing wealth is not easy, as we all know and is especially difficult for African-Americans since there are many factors in our way economically to even begin to think about the pursuit of wealth. Many of our families have taught us historically that money is the root of all evil. In fact, my mother taught me this and would use church to re-enforce this fact of hers. I don’t fault my moms and don’t fault anyone who thinks like this because to a certain extent money does not create happiness. I have learned this lesson first hand as well.

In some cases, you will need to create a new you, a different you in order to create and build wealth. You will need to come to know and believe that wealth is necessary while we are
living on this planet to sustain ourselves and make a decent life for ourselves here in America.

I would like to acknowledge and thank the good people who work at the Edison, NJ Extended Stay America hotel including Joe LoPicolo, Nene, Evangeline, Chioma, and Jennifer for making my stay a wonderful and comfortable time up in New Jersey during my book tour of New York. I also want to thank Creighton Cole
for his friendship. RIP Creighton.

I acknowledge all of our soldiers in Iraq who are continually fighting for freedom in that country. I pray for all people involved in this physical war in Iraq as well as the economic war that’s

This book is written for my lil sister-n-law who is smart as hell, grew up in Richmond, CA and is on a path to nowhere right now. I believe in her and know that one day this lil nigga will make it.
She needs guidance that her mother could never provide because moms was always high, in destructive relationships, and living with a pimp.

This book is written for my nephew growing up on the Southside of Peoria, Illinois and did a ten year bid starting in Juve Hall. And finally, this book is for my late brother, James Lee Spinks, who fought in Vietnam and died with very little to pass on to my nephews and whose son, Thamon, followed him in death one week later.

No one gives a shit about us niggas and no one cares if we want to build wealth too. They don’t think we can. I’m here to stand up for the silent peeps. The peeps that no one cares about and
that gets no love. This is for the niggas in the hoods who know that they can come up if they just had the right tools to get out of the ghetto and make somethin out of their lives. This is for
you niggas. Keep it on you everyday like a bible. Read it, hold on to it and send it to yo niggas down the street and who are hangin on the Ave.

The 5 Keys To The Entrepreneurship Car

create a sales goal and/or goal of your website sales

Share

Step 1 is to determine what it is you’re selling to people and how. Are you going to manufacture your own products or sell something that someone else manufacturers. Do you have a website? This is a must. You must have a web presence and a telephone to list on the website. You must then decide what type of audience you wish to build online and offline. How will you reach this audience? Email? Direct mail? Facebook? Google Ads? You must reach potential buyers each day to be a success. Your buyers need to be qualified and closely match the type of buyers who are looking for what it is you’re selling.

Step 2 is to create a sales goal and/or goal of your website sales. This helps you know what you’re aiming for and how much you need to sell to breakeven and/or make a profit. Not everything can be sold over the Internet. So, some marketing may be done over the Internet in order to push customers to your actual location. You still need a website so that people can find you online which will then translate into offline.

Step 3 is to create a marketing plan and hopefully have a budget to reach potential new customers. Some businesses do not do well because they cannot reach customers. This must become of paramount importance to you and your business.

Step 4 is to convert all of the people you reach in your marketing into paying/buying customers. Businesses are NOT successful if they do not make money at some point. Sell your stuff. Bottomline. You must sell. You might give away some things but do not make a business out of providing free work for people. You will never make it and you should turn your business into a charity event if that’s what your real mission is.

Step 5 is to rinse and repeat and keep selling three times or more per week.

All the wonders you seek are within your self and God has given you most of what you need to create wealth.

How To Be Rich, Nigga by Gerard D. Spinks

Resist all the temptation and the parents who will tell you that you need to get and keep a good job. When I started making a bucket load of money from one of my businesses in Oakland, California, my mother simply did not believe that what I was doing was legit and told me to find a good job.

Old School cats are not used to this mentality so I encourage you not to share this with everyone in your family. Not everyone will get it though. Historically, we were not taught to create and maintain businesses. Let me be clear though, I am not telling you to go quit your job and that you do not need that income anymore. I am telling you to create a plan to create wealth and work the plan slowly over time and this will create wealth. Your new business plan is going to take 3-5 years just to mature and you’re going to need your income from your job while your get rich plan is materializing.

Some of your plans will need money to fund the deal and some will need your time, creativity, and persistence. I find that most plans really need your time most of all and as Donald Trump says, time is money. You can save yourself a bucket load of money if you know how to do most of the stuff incorporated in your personal wealth plan yourself. Some things require what God has already given you and I would try to focus on those areas to save money in your plan first.

All the wonders you seek are within your self and God has given you most of what you need to create wealth. God would never create you with this intellect and this ability and let it never happen for you. It lies within us all…you just have to be willing to dig deep enough and have the courage to go find it, go after it, and have the patience to let it mature.

I repeat, DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB right away and get yourself in a financial bind. The economy is already tough enough and you are lucky if you’re working. Do not quit your job until this plan begins to replace the jobs income consistently for at least a 12 month period.

There will be many obstacles along your path to achieving your dream. It’s not about negativity but this is just the real part of life. It will not just be people that will try to stop your dream but conditions completely out of your control that will stop your dream. You must learn to not let any conditions stop us from working our plan and pushing towards our true dream. These bullets as I call them are just momentary setbacks regardless of how tough they actually seem.

I went through a relationship breakup, an eviction, a loss of corporate contracts, company outsourcing, and many other crazy events including the bombing of the New York Trade Centers that nearly stopped me from achieving my dreams and yet I kept plugging away at it until I was able to make it. Even though all kinds of things seem messed up, I wrote down the goal and wrote down the plan to achieve that goal. I then have to execute on this plan regardless of any of this messed up stuff that’s happening on the planet right now including the BP oil spill offshore in Louisiana. I will not stop until I reach this dream nor should you.
