Delonte West is a great basketball player but can’t stay out of domestic violence issues. His latest situation happened October 26, 2009 where his new wife filed a domestic violence report against him. Apparently, he accused her of cheating on him and tried to take off her wedding ring. She managed to get out of the house and drove to the airport to leave. She filed an official domestic violence report on him at the airport.
Delonte West also was pulled over on a motorcycle in September 2009 and was charged with weapons charges due to the fact that he was carrying 3 weapons on him. Delonte is no stranger to domestic violence and he and his ex had many domestic violence clashes in Boston when he played for the Boston Celtics. He is now claiming that he is bi-polar with massive mood swings that causes this erratic behavior.
We wish Mr. West well and hope he addresses any of these personal issues before taking the basketball floor. Apparently, The Cleveland Cavaliers agree and have kept him out of games until he sorts out his personal life.
