I am officially starting a Start Snitching campaign for the ‘hood to convict criminals who brutally rape, hurt, kill, and injure innocent victims and commit violent crimes. Turning your head to violence is simply unacceptable as several kids did when they gathered around watching while this young girl was raped for two hours.

Playing sports is considered earned income. This means that you only get paid to play ball.

On top of that, if you get injured, in most cases, you will not get paid. In professional football, you get paid based upon incentives and meeting certain measured accomplishments on the field. If you don’t meet certain on the field goals, you don’t get paid. Athletes and their representatives need to always focus on off the court or off the field money. But how?

Rajon Rondo and his agent, Bill Duffy of BDA Sports, want $11-$12 Million per year for 5 years and they believe that Rajon is one of the top 5 point guards in the NBA. The Boston Celtics disagree and have offered Rajon a deal worth $9 Million per year for 5 years.

This is typical. Professional sports teams constantly want players to perform at the top of their game but when it comes to contract negotiations, team management tends to not consider you the best in order to save contract money.

Be a mans man, NOT a ladies man. Ladies men are chumps and actually get no real love.

Ok. I’ve seen several men say things on Twitter that you just wouldn’t say chillin’ with your friends at a football game or at the house. Here’s what NOT to do on Twitter:

1). Talk to another man with your shirt off in your profile picture.
2). Try to look sexy and seductive in your profile pic because you’re trying to holla at ladies but talk to men too. Stop talking to men unless you’re gay.
3). Never, ever say YAY! when speaking. You would never do that in person.
4). Never, ever say “bestie”.

It seems like lots of dudes are trying to holla at the ladies and are taking on feminine qualities. Just because the ladies do that mess, doesn’t mean you have to talk like that so that the ladies like you. The hetero ladies want a mans man not a man who waves to them walking down the street the way a woman would. The ladies want a strong dude not a sissy. Stop blending into the ladies.

I’m not advocating that you be all tough and rough as a dude. Just saying be yourself. If you’re excited about something replace “Yay” with “Word” or something more masculine. Replace “bestie” with “my dawg”. Put your shirt on and if you want to look sexy to the chicks, stop talking to other dudes while that profile pic is up. Be a mans man, NOT a ladies man. Ladies men are chumps and actually get no real love.

My daughter is my heart. People who know me, know this. Not going to get all sentimental on here but I’m away from her for a minute but God has seen to it that we are back together soon. I’m one of those cats who really loves my child. I take my child to school. I take my child to the movies. I take my child to Lenox Square Mall. On Friday, I was doing my daily mountain climb in the San Francisco Bay Area. The trail is long and is roughly 6 miles. 3 miles out and 3 miles back. It is not easy but it really teaches you persistence and hard work. While on the trail, I go over my daily goals and aspirations and put together my strategies to make the dream work.

Dreams Come True with Patience and Persistence

I also do visualizations while on the trail as I look at the peak of Mt. Diablo dreaming about making these dreams come real. I made a statement to myself saying that I wanted to increase my website traffic to generate over 4,000 actual hits for the month of October 2009. I didn’t think anything of it and kept jogging. I actually had a lot of things on my mind but I like to put those aside when on this trail. I deal with myself, God, and me and nothing more while on this trail. It’s when God speaks to me the most.

I came back to the house, showered, and got busy working and laying down my plans. Friday evening, a call comes to me from one of my clients in Atlanta, GA to tell me about a story of interest. I contemplated whether or not I should run the story since it was such short notice. I decided to run it, thought no more about it, and went out with friends for drinks and then came back home and went to bed.

I woke up Saturday morning October 3, 2009 at about 8:00 a.m. to head to the mountain again. Before I set out on this daily journey, I decided to check my Google Analytics and stats for all web publishing sites. I had over 7,000 hits of that story in less than 12 hours from posting it. Remember, Friday morning on the trail I had asked God to help me get to 4,000 for the month. Not only was this answered but it was far exceeded.

This is an example of visualization and actualization. Dreams do become reality with these two ingredients and it will happen for you too. I had no idea that it would be like that. I just put the dream out to the universe and let the Universal Mind and Spirit take over. Please keep your dreams alive and continue to push forward to reach all of your goals. There are no limits as you see God helped me completely destroy my own self imposed limit of 4,000 for the entire month.

Black College Students Required to Study Technology

We already have enough artists. My twitter is filled with every young black man and woman headed to the studio and it seems like this is all young black people strive for. We need to get out of the studio and study hardcore math, technology, life sciences, and medical. If we don’t, we are headed for disaster.

To fight through this recession and compete with immigrants for jobs, black students should be required to take mandatory technology courses in college. I would like to petition all Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) to make this mandatory in order to rebuild the black middle class. The technology can be any type of technology that should include software engineering classes, hardware engineering classes, bio-technology, and even pharmaceutical technology.

I wrote an article on H1B Visa’s taking over and the Indian dude that commented wanted to insinuate that I didn’t know anything. Little did he know I’m a highly skilled software engineer and his people usually work for me. However, that’s me and I’m somewhat rare. We need to impart this into our youth and get out of the studio and into the math and computer science lab. We need more candidates considered for jobs at Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Genentech, Cisco Systems, etc.

HBCU’s need to make at least HTML and XML coding classes mandatory or at least an Oracle or Microsoft class and not let our kids skate through.
