This was a phrase in Monty Python’s movie “In Search Of The Holy Grail” and it was funny as ever. But, 2010 is truly about change and the dead is the jobs in the U.S.A. Bring out your dead is about moving way past a job and building the new you which is about building your own company and your customers.
This is NOT a New Year’s Resolution. This is a 3 year economic plan designed to power you and start generating business and not waste another week applying for jobs hoping to land something in America. It’s not going to happen that quickly. But what can happen, is you building your own business over the next 3 years to a burgeoning empire even if that empire generates $3,500 per month in solid income. God speed to you!
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting a lady by the name of Karen Rands at a venture capital meeting held at C’est Bon restaurant in Lithonia, GA. Ms. Rands is the founder and creator of LaunchFn. At LaunchFn, small businesses get help developing and building their companies so that they can attract early stage capital and execute on their business strategies.
The network of small business investors, alternative lenders, angel investor networks, early stage venture capital sources and institutional capital investors has been cultivated over the years.
Ms. Rands’ holding company, Kugarand Holdings, LLC acquired the Network of Business Angels and Investors (NBAI) in early 2005 to provide a forum for the clients of LAUNCHfn seeking to find angel investors to gain credible access to a thriving angel group.
You can click on the calendar of events to find out more. For more info: You can find out more about Ms. Karen Rands and the NBAI and LAUNCHfn at the LAUNCHfn website.

Treat everyone with respect. Why? When someone goes postal and decides to take everyone out with their AK47, they will call you and tell you not to come in for work that day! This is why I treat everyone with respect. It doesn’t matter.
I respect the janitor, the bus driver, the Walmart door greeter, the corporate cat, the security guard, the strippers, the life guards, the dancers, the bouncers, the film directors, the PA, and the assistants.

The age old question is how to make our African American young black youth successful. Not everyone is going to be a millionaire. Not all kids are going to play ball or record music and sell millions of records.
As a black community, we need to build the next generation of entrepreneurial success and business owners. The way the world is going now, we are really being shaken down to create our own businesses and our own success.
Today, we need to encourage youth to succeed as business owners. Corporations have proven that we are being shut out in record numbers. To build the next generation of millionaires, we need to encourage business ownership.
Young African Americans should be encouraged to harness the Internet to grow business. Their generation is inundated with the Internet and they should and already know how to use it way more than some adults. Make sure your child knows HTML and some light programming languages in some manner.
They do not need to be a genius at software development but black youth needs to know how to create their own html code and know how to utilize databases and create their own web sites.
Technology and math will be the deciding factors in their future. They need to harness these in order to build wealth. I recommend them studying some sort of class like Oracle, SQL Server, Microsoft, or some sort of technical discipline. This will lead them to new ideas and create new opportunities to put them in a place to make a great income from business.
