The sports world is buzzing about Magic Johnson’s new book and accusations of his seemingly best friend, Isiah Thomas. Isiah Thomas is now hurt over Magic Johnson saying in his book that Isiah started the rumors of Magic being gay when Magic was diagnosed with the HIV virus back in 1991.

This whole situation is puzzling and I can feel both sides of the coin. Why would Magic Johnson wait this long to say something if that is his friend? If Isiah Thomas is Magic’s friend, why would Isiah accuse his best friend of being gay when it was Isiah Thomas and Magic Johnson kissing on the court back in the day?
The crazy thing is that back when this happened, rumors used to fly around that both of them were gay. People close to the athletes back in the day used to go to elaborate parties in Hollywood and West Hollywood and say Magic Johnson was very free at parties and was always looking for sexual situations with various people of all races and genders. That’s not confirmed though.
But, staying with fact, it’s still a wonder that these two are airing things out via books and media if they are such good friends. Can you have a beef with a friend and not tell them directly that you have a beef with them? Is it proper to air your beef out in a book instead of direct?
In Magic’s book, he claims Isiah Thomas is bad for basketball and that he has a terrible image with many people in the NBA. If this is your friend, why would you say that? Why throw Isiah underneath the bus at this point in your media career? What gain is there?
