Notre Dame Quarterback Jimmy Clausen Decides to Go Pro

I figured Jimmy Clausen would come out and go pro after Charlie Weis got fired at The University of Notre Dame. It only makes sense because the young quarterback was groomed under Coach Weis. With Coach Weis leaving, this means that Jimmy Clausen could have faltered in learning a completely new offensive system and playbook his final year. Notre Dame has a standard of excellence and this type of losing just does not match Notre Dame’s winning mentality. And on top of that to lose to Connecticut is just not right. Last year, Notre Dame barely made it into a bowl game in the Hula Bowl and I believe the reason they made it there was off of name alone. This loss gives them a 6-5 record and have been just about batting .500 with one more game at Stanford next week. A 6-5 season is NOT Notre Dame standards. We’ll see what they do.
