Actress Adina Porter is back on True Blood this season on HBO. The series is off the hook and I’m excited for it to get going! See more about Adina Porter on IMDB.
Rutina Wesley is known throughout the world as Tara Thorton, one of the leading characters in the gritty Southern vampire drama, “True Blood” (2008). She was born in the city most renowned for glitz and glamour, Las Vegas, Nevada and was exposed to the arts at a very early age; in fact entertainment runs through her veins.
Her father, Ivery Wheeler, is a noted tap dancer while her mother, Cassandra Wesley, performed on the Vegas strip as a showgirl. Rutina studied dance for years then earned an undergraduate degree in Theatre Performance from the University of Evansville in Indiana. She had the good fortune to be accepted by the acclaimed Julliard School. During Rutina’s stint at Julliard, she was fortunate enough to spent a summer at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Fortune was with Rutina again when one of her Julliard classmates, Nelsan Ellis, reconnected with her when he became her co-star on “True Blood” (2008).

You should. This actress is making her mark on Hollywood and doing a phenomenal job in HBO’s hit series True Blood, a show about vampires. If you haven’t seen True Blood, YOU MUST SEE IT NOW! I’m not much into vampires but this show has what it takes and has a great story line. I suggest you get the entire series from Best Buy or BlockBuster to get yourself caught up on the first season.
Awesome and this black actress is doing her thing. We are definitely proud of Rutina Wesley!
True Blood is a bonafide hit show. I wasn’t really into it that much until I started seeing some of my Twitter friends tweeting about how good the show was. I reluctantly jumped on HBO to watch what all the hype was about and to see if True Blood matched the hype. It’s so crazy that I went and bought the entire series on DVD!
